I have always doubted the crew would have painted the 'NAGASAKI' and mushroom cloud over the target as nose art prior to the mission. There have been no photos posted or published (that I know about) of 'Bock's Car' taken in the days before the NAGASAKI mission or on that day. I saved the pictures to use as references to build the Academy kits, a project still underway. As today we remember the 70th anniversary of the atomic bomb attack on Hiroshima, i published some 70 pictures i took while visiting both planes, Enola Gay and Bockscar, that were used on the attacks on Japan.
